About the Journal

Objective and Scope

The Journal of Primary Care and Public Health (JPHPC) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to publishing research in the fields of primary care, public health, and community health. Its objective is to disseminate original research and relevant national and international studies that contribute to increasing knowledge on various health topics and improving the provision of health services in clinical and community settings.

The journal accepts research on topics related to nutrition and healthy eating, community and clinical nursing, general and family medicine, health psychology, epidemiology, health promotion and prevention, mental health, maternal and child health, health education, health management and public policy, as well as other related fields focused on individual and collective well-being.

Periodicity

The Journal of Primary Care and Public Health (JPHPC) is a biannual journal. Manuscripts that are accepted after a thorough peer review will be published in an issue, depending on when the review process is completed. The first issue will be published on June 30 (January–June) and the second issue on December 31 (July–December).

Open Access Policy

The Journal of Primary Care and Public Health adopts an open access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely and immediately available to the academic community and the general public, without subscription fees or access restrictions.

Published works can be consulted, downloaded, reproduced, shared, and disseminated without limitations, thus promoting the circulation of scientific knowledge and its impact in the fields of public health and primary care.
